Pennbrook Farm

Chronicles – 2004

Here begins the story of the restoration process. We have purposely chosen January 2004 as the official “beginning” to the restoration story, as it is the first time we actually embark on work that is not of the basic maintenance variety. Some of the work described in the entries on the first page of the Chronicles is restorative, some of it repair or “righting” of “wrongs" done by prior owners and some of it is modification. However, from here forward, we are venturing into serious old house restoration territory. As always, use the email links below to tell us what you think or ask questions.

January 2004 – And so it begins . . .

February 2004 – What the heck . . .

March 2004 – Bricks and sticks.

April 2004 – Easter eggs, old doors, and water.

May 2004 – Getting nowhere fast.

June 2004 – Siding, painting and demolition.

July 2004 – Porch removal.

August 2004 – The battle with "The Slab"

September 2004 – Sewage solution

October 2004 – Getting ready for Winter (and Spring).

November 2004 – A reason to give thanks.

December 2004 - Merry Christmas!

Continue on to 2005 and the continuing saga of the restoration.
